As women traveling alone, we appreciated the great van service from the airport. It was convenient to call them upon arrival and they were waiting for us out front. The friendly staff were helpful and provided recommendations, like the Glacier Brew House for a delicious meal. The hotel's Alaska Activity Map made it easy for us to explore downtown Anchorage, which was within walking distance. our stay was nice with clean rooms and a quiet location.
Felt very welcome, no complaints.

The value for money was excellent, with a comfy bed and a clean room. The location was great, just a short walk away from downtown and all its attractions. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful.
The morning meal could have been improved by including boiled eggs.

The room was a bit outdated but clean and comfortable. The location was perfect with easy access to downtown. The staff was friendly and accommodating. I appreciated the shuttle service to the airport. I would recommend this hotel for its convenience and reasonable rates.

The location was good and the price good. My friend and I only needed a place to sleep and did not require many other amenities.
My friend and I both have problems with stairs. Upon finding that our room was on the third floor, we were not happy. The desk clerk managed to find room for us on the ground level, so that was good. We missed not having a chair in our room. Having to have the fan in the bathroom on when the light was on, meant we could not leave the light on during the night without disturbing the other person.

Staff were friendly and helpful
Room was very small and cramped. Although everything was clean the hotel was generally needing refurbished and upgraded. Although there was a shuttle service we did not know how to get this when we arrived at the airport as it is not on the "free shuttle service" board where you can dial a number to contact.

During my recent stay at the Anchorage Downtown Hotel, I was impressed with the comfortable mattress on the bed. It provided a good night's sleep after a long day of exploring the city. The room may have been small, but the mattress made up for it.

I loved the colors and the mural in my room. It was very quiet and peaceful. They are also a green hotel.
There was no tub (even though it was listed), the shower door was falling off, and they do not tell you where their parking lot is unless you ask (they asume you know I guess) and one night is $7 per vehicle. I recommend going during the weekend and parking on the street (the meters are free on weekends).

Friendly staff; greeted with chocolate chip cookies in lobby. Easy access to downtown Anchorage. Bed was comfortable; bathroom adequate. WiFi worked well. Had a shuttle to airport, had a basic continental breakfast.
Very small room; no elevators

Had a great stay at this hotel during Christmas. The location was perfect - it was close to the downtown area and we could easily walk to the park and other attractions. The staff were friendly and provided excellent service. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and we were provided with all the amenities we needed. The best part was the complimentary breakfast, which had a variety of options to choose from. it was a pleasant experience and I would definitely recommend this hotel for a cozy Christmas getaway.
There were a few downsides to our stay. The noise cancelling in the room was not very effective, as we could hear footsteps from upstairs and noise from the neighboring room.

Beautiful colourful rooms, walking distance from central Anchorage, nice staff and reasonable prices. Great comfortable beds.
Some of the rooms are very small. Make sure you order king size is this bothers you.
Tourists from South Africa often stay at these properties. Ideas for your future trips.
